How to cancel Coursiv and get your money back

Cancelling takes about two minutes once you know who holds your subscription. The refund is the harder part, because Coursiv's guarantee asks more of you than most people expect. Here is both, in the right order.

How to cancel Coursiv and get your money back

Editorial note: Iro AI is our app. Where it appears below we say so, and it has to earn its spot by the same criteria as everything else.

Do this first

Cancel before you argue. Cancelling is instant, free and nobody can refuse it. A refund is a request that somebody else rules on, and it can take days. Doing these the wrong way round is how people spend a week on emails and get charged again mid-conversation.

Cancelling does not cut off your access. You keep it until the end of the period you already paid for, so there is nothing to gain by waiting. Coursiv's terms ask you to cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your billing cycle for it to take effect, which is the deadline most people miss by a day.

Before anything else, work out who actually holds your subscription, because it decides who can stop it:

  • You signed up on coursiv.io in a browser. Coursiv holds it. Your phone settings will show nothing.
  • You subscribed inside the iPhone or Android app. Apple or Google holds it, and emailing Coursiv will not stop the charge.

To check on iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions. If Coursiv is listed, it is an Apple subscription. If it is not there, it is a web subscription. Most people who arrive here from the quiz funnel have a web subscription.

Cancel a website subscription

This is the common case, because Coursiv's main funnel runs on the web rather than the app stores.

  1. Log in to your account at coursiv.io.
  2. Open your account settings, sometimes shown under your profile or biography.
  3. Go to Subscriptions or Payment.
  4. Choose Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Do it at least 24 hours before your cycle ends. If you cannot find the option, email support@coursiv.io from the address on the account, state plainly that you are cancelling, and ask for written confirmation with an effective date.

Screenshot the confirmation. A dated cancellation is the one piece of evidence that turns a later charge into a disputable one, and people who report being billed after cancelling are usually the ones who never captured it.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Coursiv.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm.

If there is no Cancel button and it shows an expiry date instead, it is already cancelled and you are finished. Screenshot the screen either way.

Cancel on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon, top right.
  3. Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Choose Coursiv.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

While you are in there, scan the rest of the list. Quiz-funnel apps are rarely a one-off habit, and this screen is where forgotten trials show up.

Practice this, don't just read it.

The money-back guarantee, read closely

Coursiv advertises a money-back guarantee and it is real. It is also conditional on how much of the app you used, which is the part almost nobody reads at signup. From its published refund policy, to qualify you must have:

  • 1-week plan: used the app at least 3 days, and completed 2 guides or 70% of modules
  • 4-week plan: used the app at least 7 days, and completed 4 guides or 80% of modules
  • 12-week plan: used the app at least 10 days, and completed 4 guides or 80% of modules

Requests go to support@coursiv.io within 30 days of purchase, with screenshots showing your progress. The policy states that dissatisfaction on its own, or a billing complaint without meeting the usage criteria, is not covered.

Now read that as a filter rather than a promise. If you subscribed, opened it twice, decided it was not for you and stopped, you have disqualified yourself by not using it enough. The people most likely to want a refund are the least likely to qualify for one. Nothing about that is hidden or illegal. It is simply the opposite of what most people hear in the phrase money-back guarantee, and it is worth knowing before you spend a week writing emails.

Two other things worth knowing while you are working out what you agreed to. Coursiv's pricing runs through a quiz-based funnel, and the intro offer commonly lands somewhere around $6 to $20 before recurring charges reported at roughly $19.95 for the first four weeks and about $39.95 every four weeks after, so the number you remember agreeing to may not be the number on your statement. And the guarantee described above applies to subscriptions bought on the website. An App Store or Play Store purchase runs on Apple's or Google's rules instead, which is good news, as the next section explains.

Getting the money back

Ask whoever actually took the payment. The three routes are not equally good.

Charged through the App Store

Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the charge and choose Request a refund. Pick the reason that is true, usually that you did not intend to buy the subscription or did not realise it would renew.

This matters more than it looks: Apple decides this, and Apple is not bound by Coursiv's usage thresholds. None of the 80% of modules requirement applies. For an App Store charge this is the better route and it costs nothing to try.

Charged through Google Play

Open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, find the order and request a refund. Google's own window is short, so do this today rather than at the weekend. After it closes, Google sends you back to the developer.

Charged on the website

Email support@coursiv.io within 30 days. Include the charge date, the amount, the last four digits of the card and the account email, and attach the progress screenshots the policy asks for if you have them. Ask for a specific outcome, a refund of a specific amount, rather than an explanation.

If you do not meet the usage thresholds, say so and ask anyway, then move on quickly rather than escalating over weeks. Some users have reported duplicate charges being refunded promptly. Others, including people filing complaints against Coursiv Limited with the Better Business Bureau, report charges continuing after cancellation and refunds refused. Those are user accounts rather than findings, and both outcomes clearly happen.

If you are refused

Contact your card issuer for a chargeback, using your cancellation screenshot, the charge date and the amount. Chargebacks are a normal consumer protection and they work best when you can show you asked the merchant first. You can also file with the FTC and the BBB in the US, Citizens Advice in the UK, or your national consumer authority in the EU. Those rarely recover your specific charge quickly, but they build the record that changes how a company bills.

One quirk worth knowing if you are searching for answers: the support site for Edulagoon publishes the same refund policy, word for word, at the same article address, names Coursiv in the text, and directs refund requests to the same support@coursiv.io address. If you subscribed to something that felt like a different brand and the support pages look familiar, that is why.

What to use instead

Iro AI is our app, so read this as an interested party talking. If what you wanted from Coursiv was to genuinely get better at using AI, Iro does it by practice rather than reading: you write real prompts in a Prompt Lab and get them graded, learn to spot AI mistakes, and build the habit with streaks, ranks and duels.

On billing, since that is what brought you here: free to start with a hearts system, Pro is $49.99 a year or $9.99 a week, the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial, and it is billed by Apple, so cancelling is the same two taps described above rather than an email thread. There is no quiz that sets your price and no intro rate that converts to a higher one.

If you would rather spend nothing right now, the AI rank quiz is ten questions and about two minutes, no signup and no card. For the wider field including the free options, see the best Coursiv alternatives, or how Coursiv, Finestro and Learnova compare if you are weighing several of these at once.

Practice this, don't just read it.

FAQ

How do I cancel my Coursiv subscription?

It depends where you signed up. On the website, log in at coursiv.io, open your account settings, go to Subscriptions or Payment and choose Cancel Subscription, at least 24 hours before your cycle ends. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Coursiv and Cancel Subscription. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose Coursiv and cancel.

Is Coursiv's money-back guarantee real?

Yes, but it is conditional on usage. Coursiv's published policy requires that you used the app at least 3 days and completed 2 guides or 70% of modules on the 1-week plan, or at least 7 to 10 days and 4 guides or 80% of modules on the 4-week and 12-week plans, and that you request the refund within 30 days with screenshots of your progress. Dissatisfaction alone, without meeting those usage criteria, is not covered.

Coursiv charged me after I cancelled. What do I do?

Find your cancellation confirmation and note the date. Request the refund from whoever took the payment: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Play subscriptions page, or Coursiv at support@coursiv.io. If that is refused, contact your card issuer for a chargeback with the cancellation date, the charge date and the amount. Keep everything in writing.

Will I lose access as soon as I cancel?

No. You keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then it stops renewing. Cancel as soon as you decide rather than waiting for the deadline, because Coursiv asks for cancellation at least 24 hours before the cycle ends and a day's delay is how most accidental charges happen.

How much does Coursiv cost?

Pricing is set by a quiz-based funnel, so the offer varies. The intro commonly lands somewhere around $6 to $20, with recurring charges reported at roughly $19.95 for the first four weeks and about $39.95 every four weeks after that. The mobile apps have also offered a 3-day free trial. Check the renewal price and date on your own confirmation rather than relying on any published figure.

Is Coursiv a scam?

No. Coursiv Limited is a real company shipping a real product with working support, and plenty of people finish the challenge and are happy with it. The recurring complaint is about subscription mechanics rather than the content: a quiz funnel that sets your price, an intro rate that converts to a higher recurring one, and a money-back guarantee that requires substantial completion before it applies.

Why does Edulagoon's support site show Coursiv's refund policy?

The Edulagoon support portal publishes the same refund policy article, word for word, at the same article address as Coursiv's, refers to Coursiv by name in the text, and directs refund requests to support@coursiv.io. Whatever the corporate relationship, the two share support infrastructure and the same published terms.
