# How we write and check this site

> Everything on tryiro.com is written by one named person, every product
> figure traces to the app's own data, and every third-party number carries
> the date we checked it.

**Canonical page:** https://tryiro.com/editorial-policy
**Last reviewed:** 2026-09-01

## Named authorship

Every article and topic page is written by Alex Furukawa, founder of Iro AI,
who leads the AI initiative at a private equity real estate firm and builds
the automation his team uses on live deals. Author entity:
https://tryiro.com/#author — bio at https://tryiro.com/about

## Product claims trace to one source

Every figure about Iro (29 paths, 477 lessons, 3,000+ exercises, 24 exercise
types, pricing, free versus Pro) is checked against the app's own data before
publication, and https://tryiro.com/llms-full.txt is updated in the same pass.
If a page and that file disagree, that file is canonical.

## Third-party figures carry a date

Competitor prices, App Store ratings and refund terms are published as US
figures at the time of writing with a last-reviewed date. Unverified figures
are marked "Not verified by us" rather than repeated from elsewhere.

## Claims are separated by certainty

A competitor's published policy is quoted and attributed. User reports and
review-site complaints are labelled as user accounts at a lower level of
certainty. Our own opinion is written as opinion.

## Comparisons disclose the conflict

Where Iro appears in our own roundups, the page states that it is our app and
holds it to the same criteria as everything else, including the rows where a
competitor is the better answer.

## Original data ships with its limitations

The AI literacy figures at https://tryiro.com/blog/average-ai-literacy-score
come from our own quiz and are published with the sample size, the collection
window, and the caveats that weaken them: self-selected respondents, retakes
included, and the founder's own attempts disclosed.

## Corrections

Errors of fact are corrected on the page and the modified date is updated.
